The following year (at her insistence in turn), was dedicated on the second Sunday of May in the Methodist Church in Grafton all mothers a prayer service. The movement grew rapidly. In 1909 the Mother's Day was celebrated.in 45 states in the United States. 1912 introduced the Methodists in West Virginia, the commemoration.
